MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION
ASSOCIATION OF INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLLOGY

BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY ALUMNI

1. Name: The Association shall be called ?Association of Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University Alumni? and shall hereafter be referred to as ?the Association?.

2. The Registered Office of the Association shall remain in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, and at present it is at 34, Netaji Subhash Marg, Darya Ganj, New Delhi 110002.

3. The aims and objectives of the Association are:

a) To promote an active Association of Institute of Technology ? Banaras Hindu University (hereinafter referred to as ?The Institute?) alumni and create an active alumni forum.

b) To promote fraternisation between alumni of the Institute.

c) To promote socio-cultural interaction between the alumni and their family members.

d) To build an active network of alumni across the world.

e) To help the Institute collaborate with the industry for better student placements and faculty upgrade.

f) To create an awareness about the achievements, contribution and the rich heritage of the Institute within the media as well as the industry.

g) To institute and organise scholarship funds to help the needy and deserving students of the Institute.

h) To institute prizes and awards for outstanding project work, research papers and other professional activities by the faculty, alumni and the students of the Institute, and to suitably recognise outstanding social and community services rendered by them.

i) To create CHAIRS in the Institute for promoting Research and Development.

j) To create a TRUST for promoting the objectives of the Association.

k) To establish closer interaction amongst members of the Association and the Industries

l) To work with like-minded organisations to foster better community building.

m) To mobilise resources for supporting the objectives of the Association.

n) To undertake all such other activities as are conducive or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives and are beneficial to the interests of the Institute of Technology and / or its Alumni.

4. GOVERNING BODY

The names, addresses, occupations and the designations of the present
members of the Governing Body, to whom the management of Association
is entrusted, as required under Section ? 2 of the Societies Registration
Act of 1860, as applicable to the National Capital Territory of
Delhi, are as under:

5. DESIROUS PERSONS: We, the undersigned, are desirous of
forming a society named ?Association of Institute of Technology,
Banaras Hindu University Alumni? under ?Society Registration
Act, of 1860? as applicable to National Capital Territory of Delhi,
in pursuance of this Memorandum of the Society.
