Association of IT BHU Alumni (AIBA) is the nodal organisation of the alumni of Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. Our Association is a non-profit organisation, and has a wide representation from our alumni senior officials from the government, public, and private sectors, and from various industry fora.
The activities of the association centre around our efforts to improve quality of the technical education, viz., institute-industry participation, and alumni participation in education; we also maintain a network of alumni through various events and programs.
We are hosting the 2nd Alumni Excellence Award Ceremony on 17.05.2008 at Air Force Auditorium , Subroto Park, on the occasion of our 6th Annual General Body Meeting . The awardees would be from amongst corpoarate chieftains, academics,scientists,enterprenuers etc. who have made significant contribution to the society / nation during the course of his / her career. This year we are co-hosting this event with Europeon Business Group ( EBG) for enhanced visibility and to promote Indo- European Trade relations. Also on this occasion we nave invited child Prodigy Piano Player , Abhay Goel , who would enthrall the audience.
The program and the AGM would be attended by industry captains , senior bureaucrats and opinion makers of the nation along with Ambassadors and dignitaries from Europeon Union.
We look forward to patronage from the industry in the form of sponsorships. Needless to say, the visibility accorded to the sponsor, through the above platform would be high.

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to our 6th Annual General Body Meeting, which has been planned for 17th May, 2008.
Like last year, we shall also be honouring IT BHU / BENCO / TECHNO / MIN-MET alumni in the 2nd IT-BHU Alumni Award of Excellence. This year, the awards are being co-hosted with European Business Group, and it is expected that the EU Ambassador shall be gracing the event. We have also planned a piano recital by the child prodigy Abhay Goyle, who has performed internationally at this tender age and has gathered critical acclaim every where.

We are approaching the 2nd IT BHU Award of Excellence, which, as you are aware, was instituted last year to recognise and honour those alumni of IT-BHU / Benco / Techno / MINMET, who have made significant contributions to the development of our country. As during the 1st Award ceremony, this event also would be chaired by an eminent personality; we are trying to get the Union Minister for Science and Technology, Mr Kapil Sibal to grace the occassion.
As you are all aware, the selection of the Significant Contributor would be through an eminent jury, chaired by Mr AK Sah (ex Chairman NTPC) and comprising our own alumni in part and a group of eminent, independent personalities, like Mr K N Memani (former Chairman, Ernst & Young, India), from the industry.
We need your help in identifying the alumni who you feel could be deserving candidates for this prestigious award which would be conferred in the presence of a very senior public figure on the occasion of our AGM on 17.05.2008 at the Air Force Auditorium. We therefore request you to please help us by nominating possible candidates in the format given below. Once we get your nominations, the names along with contact details would be passed onto the Jury who would, in turn, send the nomination forms designed to gather relevant information.
