ITBHU at �Antaragni-05�

The cultural festival of IIT, Kanpur, ‘Antaragni-05’, was held from 20th to 24th of October, 2005. ITBHU, being one of the outstation participating teams, was represented by a 40 member team.

The team, led by Piyush kumar Jain (student, 4th Year, Mechanical Engg.), got 4 prizes in the events they participated in. 3 of them were in literary events and the remaining one in theatre, the details of which are as follows :-

1st prize An 8 member team participated in the event.

Apart from this the team participated in other events and performed well. The best of all, apart from the aforesaid events, was the performance of the team in dance events. They reached the finals of all the dance events, viz. Solo Dance Western, Group Dance Western and Group Dance Folk. The participants in the music events also fared well, but none of them could make it to the finals. In the theatrical events the team also did well. They performed street play, play, skit, mime and monoacting.

In the literary events the team participated in English and Hindi debates, JAM sessions, extempore, impromptu, adspoof and story making contest.

Concluding the team leader, Piyush Jain, says “The team has almost everything required to be overall winners, just a bit more of practice would have polished off every prize which the team deserved but could get this time round.”
