IT students meet with President

In a swift move, a delegation of 10 IT students met our President, Honourable Dr. APJ Kalam on March 3rd during Convocation. In this pre-arranged meeting planned by Alumni Association, they appraised the President about the urgent need to convert our institute into an IIT and handed over a copy of the online petition for IIT cause. The President (who was awarded Doctor of Science honorary degree in 1991 by our institute) was surprised to know that it is still not an IIT, and he promised to do something for it.
