The two-day National Seminar on "Sensor Networks and Applications" to be hosted by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers Allahabad Centre will commence from Saturday (May 13).
Prof A B Samaddar, Director, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, shall be the chief guest on the inaugural session while Prof R G Harshe, Vice Chancellor, University of Allahabad will preside over it. Prof. [Dr] Pawan Kapur, Director General, Central Scientific Instruments Organization, Govt. of India, Chandigarh, shall deliver the keynote address, informed Er. Sanjaya Kala, Secretary, programme committee of the seminar.
The seminar is being co-organized by the J K Institute of Applied Physics and Technology, University of Allahabad and the Ewing Christian Institute of Management & Technology, Ewing Christian College, Allahabad.
Prominent speakers include, Prof G N Pandey, Vice Chancellor, J R B Chitrakoot University, Prof Sibu Udgata, University of Behrampore, Orissa, Prof Prithviraj, University of Pondicherry, Prof U S Tiwari, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, Prof Shekhar Verma, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Gwalior, Dr Chiranjeev Kumar, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad and Prof A K Gupta, Head, J K Institute of Applied Physics and Technology, University of Allahabad. Prof S K Kak, from IT, BHU is also likely to deliver an invited presentation.
The Seminar shall begin at the Prof SN Ghosh auditorium, JK Institute of Applied Physics and Technology, Science Faculty, University of Allahabad on May 13 from 9 a.m. onwards, according to Dr P N Gupta, Reader, J K Institute of Applied Physics and Technology, AU, who is also the Organizing Secretary of the event.
