We are pleased to state that the chronicle completes a year with publication of this issue.
The online newsmagazine was started a year ago and the first issue came out on June 10, 2005. It was started to serve as a link between students, alumni, faculty and administration of the institute. So far, it is publishing only news items, collected from national newspapers, online news sources, college administration and students/alumni volunteers. It is also publishing success stories of students/alumni/faculty and disseminating news across itbhu community.
The chronicle will try to better serve the community by publishing news-like articles such as alumni/faculty profiles, interviews, collecting in depth information about an event from a variety of authoritative sources, etc. We have also started an occasional series of profiles, publishing information about our successful/unique members. We sincerely hope that our students and alumni should not shine only in the technological field, but should also become successful businessmen, venture capitalists, politicians, writers, research scientists, film producers, etc.
To begin with, we are covering recent land mark event-that of Moser Baer signing R & D collaboration agreement with our Alma-mater- in great details. Included are: chronicle interview with Deepak Puri, CEO of Moser Baer and profile of Dr. Dhanaraj Pandey, Professor at School of Material Science & Technology, IT-BHU.
We invite news/articles from our readers. However, articles, news and views expressed in the chronicle are those of individuals, and they do not reflect views by the Chronicle Team.
The magazine has successful track record of publication, except in December 2005, when the issue could not be published due to server problem. We hope to continue publishing as long as our college thrives.
We welcome feedback from our valuable readers, whom we serve.
Thanking you,
The Chronicle Team
