Experts highlight importance of Vedas

EMINENT EXPERTS of the Veda highlighted the importance of Vedic knowledge on the second day of second world congress on Vedic science in Banaras Hindu University (BHU) on Saturday.

Former director of the Vedic Research Center, Hoshiyarpur, Prof. Brij Bihari Chaubey said that there was misconception among people to understand the real meaning of Vedas. He stressed the need to disseminate the importance and real meaning of Vedas to redress the prevailing misconception about Vedas among common people.

Prof Chaubey threw light on the pragmatic side of Vedic knowledge and said that its pragmatic side has a capacity to strengthen the nature and social structure.

International director of Sidha Yoga Research Center, Bombay, Hema Patakar said that one could develop mental and physical strengths through Sidh yoga.

Eminent expert of Veda and yoga, Maha Yogi said that all the parts of a body were the center of energy, which could be sensitised through the way of Sadhana, Vedic Sanskar and Yagyas. Prof Hridya Ranjan, head, department of Veda in BHU, highlighted the utility and importance of Vedas in present condition.

Besides, experts delivered their lectures in different sessions, organised on the second day of world congress on Vedic science today.

A large number of scholars from across the country and abroad including UK, USA, Austria, Venezuela, France, South Africa and Nepal are participating in the congress. A mega exhibition of books, periodicals, encyclopedia and all Vedic literature from India and abroad is also displayed in the congress.
