The team of Gunjan Gupta won the runners up best paper award at the IEEE Data Mining Conference (ICDM) in December 2006.
According to him, his award is going to definitely help CS grads from IT-BHU applying at UT Austin, which is among the top 10 schools for computer science/engineering in US.
He received his PhD in Computer Engineering (Data Mining) from University of Texas at Austin in 2006. Currently he is working as Machine Learning Scientist at Amazon.com
