Announcement: Chemical Departments new magazine

A new magazine to be published by Chemical Engineering Department

The Chemical Engineering Dept. is planning to publish a departmental magazine by March end or early April. This was stated by its editor, Somesh Nath Gupta, a second year student in the dept.

According to Somesh, the magazine, which is yet to be named, will contain news, views and technical reviews pertaining to chemical engineering. The frequency will be initially on quarterly basis, but may be made bi-monthly later. The plan is to publish it online as well as in hard copies. An advisory committee (consisting of students, alumni and faculty) is being formed to guide the publication of the magazine.

The magazine format is being finalized, but following sections are being planned:

  • Introduction
  • Faculty
  • News
  • Project
  • Technical Article by professionals
  • Innovative Thinking
  • Seniors
  • Suggestions and platform to say something
  • Alumni
  • Achievements
