[3/20/2007] Engineering science's Lakhtakia named distinguished alum by University of Utah
University Park, Pa.—Akhlesh Lakhtakia, the Charles G. Binder Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics, was honored as a distinguished alumnus by the University of Utah, Salt Lake City.
Lakhtakia was recognized in a ceremony on March 6 for his distinguished service to the university and the community.
He earned his bachelor of technology degree in electronics engineering from the Banaras Hindu University's Institute of Technology in 1979 and his Ph.D. from the University of Utah in 1983.
