This is a unique website help to people make cheap or nearly free phone calls around the world. Many of us are familiar with Skype (www.skype.com), which provides computer based cheap/free phone services. Jajah is one step ahead of Skype. Just like Skype it requires to initiate a phone call. However, unlike Skype, you need not glued to computer with headset and microphone to talk. Instead you can have normal conversation over your regular home phone or cell phone.

Jajah, which started offering service to public in Jan 2007, has advanced VOIP technology. To initiate a phone call, you type your and your friend’s phone number on computer and then switch over to your regular phone (land line/cell phone) to start conversation. While companies such as AOL and Skype offer free Internet calls, Jajah's service doesn't require a high-speed Internet connection.

Some of the phone calls between two Jajah members are free, depending upon the countries of call. For others, there are per minute charges. Please see the rate chart (http://www.jajah.com/info/rates/) on the website.

Jajah claims that its rates are either free or very low. It claims it can afford to provide free or subsidized rates, by generating revenue from businesses making conference calls and from non-member customers.
