A national conference on Recent Advances in Waste Management was organized by The Centre of Advanced Study, Department of Chemical Engineering & Technology from February 20-21, 2009 in the department of Chemical Engineering.
RAWM-2009 was strived to bring awareness and provided a platform for Scientific Community, Research Scholar, Policy Makers, NGOs, University Students and Environmental Managers to share their thoughts and views on waste minimization and management. The main objectives of the conference were focused on the emerging challenges in waste management, emission problems and management, effluent treatment technologies and sustainable technologies.
RAWM included invited talks and contributory papers by eminent experts from various Industries, Research Organizations, Academic Institutions and NGOs. More than 100 papers were presented on themes like Gaseous wastes, Solid wastes and Waste Minimization.
RAWM 09 was inaugurated on 20th of February at Gopal Tripathi Auditorium in the presence of Director, IT-BHU and many other eminent personalities after which papers were presented in many sessions organized between February, 20-21.
