VARANASI: Linda Szpyrkowicz, Scientific Councellor, Embassy of Italy, New Delhi, said all governments of the world would have to work in tandem to solve the problem of pollution.
Szpyrkowicz was addressing the inaugural function of the two-day conference on 'Recent Advances in Waste Management 2009', organised by the department of chemical engineering and technology, Institute of Technology (IT), Banaras Hindu University, on Friday.
New and viable technology should be developed to check water and soil pollution for continuous development, she said and added there were many environment-related projects among 23 projects in which India and Italy collaborated in November last.
