BHU condoles death of former rector, Prof. T R Anantharaman

VARANASI: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) condoled the death of Dr. Tanjore Ramachandra Anantharaman, former rector, acting vice-chancellor and Emeritus professor of BHU, at a meeting held on Monday. Tanjore passed away in the US on June 18 in US.

Tanjore also served BHU as head of the department of metallurgical engineering, dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, director, Institute of Technology, and member of Executive Council. The condolence meeting was attended by Rector Prof BD Singh, registrar Dr KP Upadhyaya, finance officer Parag Prakash and others.

Prof. C S Jha our former VC and Professor of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi (former director IIT Kharagpur and Chairman RAC, DRDO, New Delhi) passed away on June 17.

Prof C V. Agrawal, former head of Applied Chemistry, passed away on the June 18.
