The ‘IT-Kholu’ for the Batch of 2013 is a happy go lucky Varanasi resident named ‘Srishti Didwania’. She has opted for B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with IIT-JEE All India Rank of 1872.

She was interviewed by Praharsh Sharma (B. Tech. Part-IV, ECE) for Chronicle. Here is what she had to say in an interview with the Chronicle:

CHRONICLE: Congrats Srishti! So all settled? How does it feel to be the ‘IT-Kholu’ for the batch of 2013?
Srishti: Thanks! Yeah, it feels great. I have been having a great time with a whole lot of new friends.
CHRONICLE: Tell us something about yourself Srishti.
Srishti: I am a resident of holy city of Varanasi and so one can guess one of the reasons for me to choose IT-BHU. Till Class 10, I had my education from St. John's Marhauli which created my educational base very strongly and I subsequently did Class 12 from Central Hindu Girls School.
CHRONICLE: So, why did you go for B. Tech in CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) at IT-BHU?
Srishti: I did not have any special interest in CSE but it was my brother who convinced me that CSE from IT-BHU would be a better combination rather than Civil from other IITs. I expected myself to be among the top students here which I thought would boost my confidence and encourage me to do well in the future too.
CHRONICLE: How good has been the decision (CSE, IT-BHU) so far?
Srishti: CSE would give me the best job package which is my ultimate aim and that too with lesser burden of studies as compared to other branches (this is what I have heard). Well, I am very happy with my decision of choosing IT-BHU and totally satisfied with what I am getting here. IT-BHU has actually come out to be beyond my dreams. It’s quite more interesting than what I had initially thought off. I take immense pleasure to feel greatly satisfied with my decision.
CHRONICLE: Tell us something about your interests, hobbies and your plans for the future.
Srishti: My hobbies are listening songs, sleeping and doing innovative things. My interests lie in swimming, basket ball, dancing, theatre and travelling. Presently I wish to pursue job after B. Tech. and fulfill my various dreams.
