On 30th August, IT Gymkhana organized Blood Donation Camp on Sports Day in association with Sir Sunderlal Hospital. Professor S. N. Upadhyay -Director, IT-BHU, Dr. P. K. Mishra - President, Gymkhana; Dr. Y. C. Sharma - Chairman, Sports Wing, Gymkhana; and Mr. Satish Kanojia - Administrative officer presided over the function.

This initiative of blood donation camp was organized on the eve of sports day, which is celebrated in the memory of great hockey player Dhyan Chand. Dr. A. K. Gupta from the hospital briefed students about the procedure to be followed for donating blood and some of the misconception which people usually have for blood donation. Around 90 students donated their blood. Dr. P. K. Mishra and Mr. Satish Kanjoi also made their contribution.

Professor S. N. Upadhyay advised students to donate blood as a single donation from them can help one or more patients and told us that these kind of events will be organized more frequently in future.
