Robotics Club, IT-Gymkhana organized an introductory workshop for the students of Part-I on September 4, 2009 at G-7, IT-BHU. More than 500 students from first year attended the workshop in the jam packed session.

Different clubs of IT-Gymkhana have been organizing various workshops during the last month. As a large number of students pursue activities related to Robotics, apart from cultural activities, it is necessary to provide them a common platform where they can discuss, share ideas and participate in common competitions and endeavours to learn, achieve and conquer. With this very motive, ‘Robotics Club’ has been formed in order to promote technical activities in the institute.

The Workshop started with introduction of Robotics club by Secretary and Joint Secretary of the club. General Secretary, C.C.A. Wing (Praharsh Sharma) briefed students about different activities of C.C.A. Wing. The Chairman, C.C.A. Wing, IT Gymkhana, Dr. Satyabrata Jit (Reader, Department of Electronics Engineering) motivated the students to participate and get involved in various workshops and competitions. Students were informed about different technical activities to be organized this year, by Robotics club. To make workshops more interesting quizzes and informal talks were carried out in amidst. The unforeseen workshop was delivered by Devender Singh Maun and Harsh Agarwal which was deeply appreciated by the students.

Going further, Robotics club is going to conduct workshops, events and guest lecture throughout the year. Robotics club has planned to conduct about 10-12 workshops this year for the fresher, along with society projects in coming days.

The fresher are very enthusiastic about technical activities in the institute and are looking forward to future workshops which would be held very soon.
