Pallab Bhattacharya
Mr. Pallab Bhattacharya, PhD Scholar (Supervisor-Dr. Ranjana Patnaik) of School of Biomedical Engineering was selected among 50 participants from world to attend PET Pharmacokinetics Course at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA from June 26 to 28, 2009 with full scholarship.
Pallab went to participate in the course at Division of Nuclear Medicine, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. Pallab also participated in the 24th International Symposium on Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism at Chicago, USA from June 29 to July 3, 2009

Pallab is presently working on the role of glutamate exitotoxicity and motor deficit during Focal ischemia and will try to implement PET in his research work. He plans to study about the neurotransmitter imbalance and cognitive deficit followed by stroke. Pallab has already worked at Department of Neurophysiology, NIMHANS, Bangalore. Presently his work is being collaborated by NIMHANS, Bangalore. In future his work will relate to study of cerebral circulation disturbances due to diseases.
Pallab has also visited National University of Singapore, Oxford University and Cambridge University for his research work
