As we stated in our Chronicle October issue, the bank account of IBGAA (IT-BHU Global Alumni Association) has become operational in India.

We have opened a bank account at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Gadaulia branch, Varanasi. We have now been granted the exemptions under sections 12A and 80G.

12A: all income & contributions received by the association is tax exempted on the part of association

80G: all contributions/donations are tax exempted on the part of donors

After the Tax exempt status of our alumni association, we have started getting funds from alumni.

The current balance (as on Dec 11) in our alumni a/c is Rs. 4,17,360.

There were two major (over Rs. 1 lakh) deposits:

1) P. V. Mohan (Chemical 1983) Rs. 1,00,000

2) Manthani Sridhar Reddy (Electronics 1982) Rs. 1,01,000

We need more funding from alumni for our various ongoing projects and for organizational/maintenance expenses. You may also provide fund for your specific projects such as student scholarships, etc.

Those making contributions must provide their full name, complete address, Phone no., PAN, etc. A confirmatory mail may be sent to donate-india@itbhuglobal.org for reconciling the account.

One remembers that humen's life seems to be expensive, however some people require money for different issues and not every person earns enough cash. Thus to get fast personal loans and just short term loan should be a right way out.
