Spardha ’10, the annual Sports fest of IT-BHU will be conducted during a 5-day period from 17th February to 21st February, 2010. After the stupendous success of Spardha ’09, the 2010 edition of Spardha will witness many firsts- most prominent being the Pro-Nite, a guaranteed crowd-puller, to be organized on the penultimate day (a day before the last day) of the fest. In a further attempt to blend entertainment with sporting contests, the inaugural ceremony is scheduled to be accompanied by a cultural program.
With the inclusion of new sports like kho-kho, Taekwondo and shooting, Spardha promises to touch greater heights this year. The highlight of the sports fest would be Clutch- the Counter-Strike tournament, widely tipped to be the largest of its kind in India, with prize money of Rs. 75,000 and growing! No wonder that over 2000 participants are expected from colleges all across the country!
The Spardha organizing team has begun working in earnest, with the girls also pitching in to ensure Spardha’s success. The countdown has begun with the launch of our website and our journal, the Spardha Chronicles. It is our hope that Spardha’10 will be able to replicate last year’s success and surpass the expectations of IT-BHU students.
