International Conference on “Issues and Challenges in Energy Conversion and Management” (ICEM 2009) was held at Swatantrata Bhawan, BHU during Dec 18 - 20, 2009. It was organized by Dept. of Mechanical Engineering.
Prof. A.S. Majumdar (Director of M3TC, National University, Singapore) was the Chief Guest. Prof. V.K. Mathur (University of New Hampshire, USA) was the Guest of Honour. He is alumnus of Chemical Engineering Dept. (Chemical 1953).
Prof. Yoginder Paul Chugh (Southern Illinois University, USA) was Distinguished Guest. He is alumnus of Mining Engineering Dept. (Mining 1961).
Prof. Weerakoran (Dean, SERD, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok), Prof. Nitin Tripathi (Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok) and Prof. K. Gadgil (IIT Delhi) were key-note speakers.
About 61 participants presented their Papers and the Valedictory was presided over by Prof. S.N. Upadhyay (Director, IT-BHU).
