Robotics club, IT-Gymkhana organized first workshop, in a series of workshops to be organized for students of first year, on 10th December. More than 500 students from first year attended the workshop in two sessions.
First year was divided in two groups, in first; Rajputana hostel was covered in 10-12am session and in second; Limbdi hostel was covered in 2-4pm session. Workshop started with introduction of club and Magnum Opus’10. Core team of Magnum Opus briefed students about different activities and workshops planned for students. In workshop students were taught basics of electronics and mechanics. More emphasis was given to application part rather than theoretical aspect of the subject. To make workshops more interesting quizzes and informal talks were carried out in between.
These workshops provide first yearites a common platform where they can discuss, share ideas and participate in technical competitions. With this very motive a new “robotics club” have been formed to prime technical activities in college Robotics club in association with MO’10 (Magnum Opus) team is going to conduct workshops, events and guest lectures throughout the year. Robotics club has planned to conduct about 10-12 workshops this year for first year students (all workshops are free of cost), along with society projects in coming days.
Freshers are very enthusiastic about technical activities in institute and are looking forward for future workshops.
