Drishti Club, CCA Wing, IT-Gymkhana conducted a Workshop on “Managers Manage Yourself” by Saurabh Singh, IIM-Ahmedabad (ECE 2008, IT-BHU) on April 4, 2010 at G-8, IT-BHU.
It was based on effective time management and was presented by Saurabh Singh and jointly coordinated by Ashu Pathak (both from ECE 2008). Hon'ble Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Prof. Virendra Singh) graciously signified the inaugural ceremony. Dr. P. K. Mishra (President, IT-Gymkhana) gladly encouraged the event and Prof. S. N. Mahendra (HoD, Electrical Engineering) provided all necessary support for the venue and logistics. Among the students, the event was coordinated by Aakash Lalwani (IMD Part-III, Industrial Chemistry) and Omendra Singh (IMD Part-III Applied Mathematics) on behalf of Drishti Club, CCA Wing, IT-Gymkhana. Praharsh Sharma (General Secretary, CCA Wing & B. Tech. Part-IV, Electronics Engineering) played a major role in guidance, conduct and logistics for the event, and personally attended the seminar.
The seminar was based upon personal and professional experiences of Mr. Saurabh Singh, a distinguished student of his batch. He completed B. Tech. in Electronics Engineering from IT-BHU and subsequently worked with NVIDIA Graphics Corporation, the leading company in its domain, and is presently doing his MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad. Concepts of Time Management Matrix, Priority Management and Computer applications were introduced in the workshop. The workshop concluded with an interactive open session on belling the CAT.
About Drishti Club:
Drishti Club established constitutionally under CCA Wing, IT-Gymkhana is essentially a student club like others, jointly supported by alumni, for grooming enlightened, principle centred and cheerful leaders. It has similar counterparts operating in various leading institutes like IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, NIT Warangal, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Rourkela, etc. to provide guidance and counselling to youth with an aim of moral encouragement and student growth. It is started with an aim to conduct workshops and courses on Personality Development, Character build up, Team playing and Public speaking, to name a few. As an alumni advisor, Ashu Pathak has also been supporting the club’s coordination in IT-BHU. There are workshops are planned to be offered by various professionals who have expertise in delivering seminars on such topics.

List ‘A’ – 7 IIMs
Maximum loan amount Rs. 15 lacs
List ‘B’ – The remaining 54 institutes from the existing list
Maximum loan amount Rs. 10 lacs
List ‘C’ – New 39 institutes
Maximum loan amount Rs. 7.50 lacs
(Category-wise detailed list of all 100 institutes covered under the scheme is mentioned in Annexure-I)
IT-BHU in under category B along with other IITs. Student can get max. of Rs. 10 lacs as loan amount.
As per RBI instructions, education loans up to Rs 10 lacs for studies in India are classified under Priority Sector Lending.
With the advent of the academic session 2010-11, the branches should book maximum business from these institutes, as the loans to the students from these institutes are granted at relaxed rates and terms.
