We are pleased to publish first hand reports about summer internships from our students. There are two reports in this issue. One report is from Nishant Kumar, who took training at INRIA, France-a prestigious academic institute in the world. He was able to get summer internship due to efforts by our alumnus, Animesh Pathak, who works there as Research Scientist after completing his post-doc study there. We invite our alumni to help our students to find suitable summer internships at their workplace/institute. Getting internships at suitable places is still a burning issue for our students.

Other report is from Navin Hemani who took training ay Kansai Nerolac Paints, Jainpur, UP. Being a 2^nd year student at that time, it was difficult for him to find a suitable internship in his chemical engineering field. After much effort and help from Kiran Nayak, (our alumnus who is General Manager at Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd.) he found one, and his report testifies it. We hope this will inspire our students in 2^nd year to search for summer internship of their choice.

We invite our students to send their first hand experience about summer internship for publishing it chronicle. We shall randomly select few entries to be published in September/October issues of chronicle.
