Getting official transcripts from our institute

Many times our alumni (from India and abroad) have inquired about process for getting official transcript from the institute. Transcripts are needed for many purposes: for job application purpose, for applying to universities for higher studies, for immigration, for joining professional societies/getting professional license, etc.

They have to look no further than the website of our institute www.itbhu.ac.in for the answer. Please ensure that you have completed all requirements for quicker results.

Following is the official notification about obtaining official transcript from the institute:

Notification for Transcript

It is notified for information of all concerned that alumni of Banaras Hindu University can obtain transcript in sealed cover, if so required by them or their employer on making applications directly(through post or FAX or E-mail to the Office of the Controller of Examinations along with payment of Rs 220/- for one copy & Rs 50/- for each additional copy, through Bank Draft/Cheque drawn in favour of Controller of Examinations, Banaras Hindu University. The applications should be addressed to Controller of Examinations & should contain -

(a) Name of Candidate,

(b) Degree for which transcript is required,

(d) Year of passing the degree,

(e) University Enrolment No.,

(f) Permanent Roll No.,

(g) Full address of the Candidate where transcript is to be posted,

(h)Full address(s) of the employer / Organization, if any, where transcript(s) is/are required to be sent by the University directly,

(i) Signature of applicant.

The applicants are advised to send copies of all concerned mark-sheets along with the application. The FAX No. and e-mail address are given below

I am and alimni of IT-BHU 2002 batch (mechanical Engg.). I am now in US and applying for PhD. For this I need trascripts. My parents have already sent the demand draft to the office of controller for 10 number of official transcripts with an application letter giving all the details. The transcripts need to be sent to my parents home in Patna.

Now, almost 10 days have passed but my parents still did not get any confirmation. Can you tell me whom I should contact. This is urgent as I need the trascripts at the earliest.
