Lok Capital Appoints Unitus' Ganesh Rengaswamy As MD

Ganesh Rengaswamy has joined Lok Capital as Managing Director.

Prior to Lok, he was Country Director for Unitus’ microfinance initiatives for India and Southeast Asia. Ealier, was founder of Travelguru, an online travel site, started India investment practice of Greylock Partners and has worked at Infosys.

He is an MBA from IIM Kolkata and Harvard and BE from IIT Varanasi.

Lok Capital is a microfinance venture capital fund. It provides equity capital and venture support to microfinance institutions to facilitate the delivery of affordable financial services, primarily to the low-income households in India.

Lok Capital investment portfolio includes MFI’s like Suryoday, Ujjivan, BASIX, Spandana among others.
