The meeting of BHU Alumni Association, Mumbai was held on November 21 at BPCL Trombay Club, Chembur, Mumbai. It was arranged by Mr. J. K. Jain (Mechanical 1968) – Treasurer & Coordinator, BHU Alumni Association, Mumbai (Email: jainendra_jain@hotmail.com). The meeting was attended by many alumni of our institute. The Chief Guest of the honor was Dr. Karan Singh, Chancellor of our University and Member of Parliament.

Our Annual Meet was held on 21st November 2010 on the Lawn of BPCL Colony, Chembur, Mumbai in which Dr. Karan Singh, Chancellor BHU; Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) & President of ICCR (Indian Council of Cultural Relations) was the Chief Guest.
Meeting was attended by members & their family members – numbering about 350. Meeting was followed by Music- orchestra & dinner.
The meeting was also attended by Shri Dwarka Prasad Agrawal (non-BHU), Chairman of Vedanta Foundation who had donated Rs. 3.5 crore to BHU Hospital for creating facilities for Open Heart Surgery.
Our Association felicitates two distinguished Alumni every year. This year we felicitated Mr. D. K. Mehrotra, Managing Director LIC & Mr. M. N. Singh, IPS & Ex. Police Commissioner, Mumbai.
Scholarships were awarded to 5 students in BHU & 6 students in Mumbai – majority to girls. We had attached herewith short note about our Association.
Dr. Karan Singh was felicitated & presented with a beautifully written MANAPATRA.
Dr. Karan Singh was born in Paris & 1st time landed in Mumbai. He also got married in Mumbai & lived for sometime in Mumbai. That is why he has got special affection to the city of Mumbai.
