BHU V-C to continue till next one joins

VARANASI: Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University D P Singh would remain in the office till the next V-C joins the university.

The press publication and publicity (PPP) cell of the university had clarified on Monday that the HRD ministry has clarified that the present V-C would remain in the office till the next V-C joins as per provisions of the BHU Act.
It may be mentioned here that the present V-C is going to complete the three-year term in May this year. Meanwhile, Singh will address the faculty members of the university on Tuesday at Swatantrata Bhawan to mark the closing of academic session 2010-11.
