 Chronicle has received following invitation letter from the organizing committee for IIT (BHU) Global Alumni Meet at Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, California on Saturday, September 17, 2016. This is the 5th Global Alumni Meet of our IIT-BHU Global Alumni Association.

 Dear Fellow Alumnus/Alumna,

This year our Alma Mater – BHU – is celebrating 100 years of contribution to education in India.

To launch the celebrations, the IIT-BHU Global Alumni Association will be hosting a Global Meet at the Santa Clara Convention Center, CA on the 17th of September 2016.

Fee Schedule

Full Registration includes: breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening entertainment

Guest Pass includes: Only Dinner and Entertainment on September 17, 2016 at 6pm. Such passes are valid only when the guest is accompanied by an alumni who has registered for the full day event.

 With profound grief, we wish to inform you about sudden and untimely demise of our alumnus, Mr. Om Prakash Tiwari (Civil 1974). He passed away at Ghaziabad, UP on 13th May, 2016. He was Ex-Chief Engineer at a corporation in UP.

Chronicle shares grief with the family of Mr. O. P. Tiwari. May his soul rest in peace.

Obituary of Dr. Narsi Narsimhan, (Mechanical 1984)

 With profound grief, we wish to inform you about sudden and untimely demise of our alumnus, Dr. Narsi Narsimhan (Mechanical 1984). He passed away in his apartment on Friday, April 29th night at Atlanta, Georgia, USA. We believe that according to medical reports, cause of death was a massive heart attack. He was around 54 yrs. old.

Chronicle shares grief with the family of Dr. Narsi. May his soul rest in peace.

Narsi Narasimhan was the co-founder and the CEO of Paalam Inc. He was well known in the community and founder of IPN (Indian Professional Network), an informal networking group around metro Atlanta. He was the chairman of Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.

UPDATE: May 1, 2016: Viewing, memorial services and cremation for Dr. Narsi Narasimhan will be held from 4-6 pm, on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Wages & Sons Funeral Homes and Crematories, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Ph: (770)-277-4550. If you want to send flowers/bouquet, please make arrangements so that it reaches Wages & Sons by 3 pm.

Because of limited parking space, those wishing to attend the memorial service are advised to car-pool.

Atlanta, GA, April 30, 2016: Dr. Narsi LS Narasimhan, networking guru and one of Atlanta’s most loved community leaders has died of cardiac arrest, according to sources.

Sudhir Agarwal of Indian Professionals Network (IPN) released a joint statement with Ani Agnihotri on Saturday afternoon. “With profound grief we wish to inform you about sudden and untimely demise of Atlanta’s beloved friend and iconic community leader Dr. L.S. Narasimhan (Narsi), CEO, Paalam, Inc. and Founder of IPN. He passed away in his apartment on Friday, April 29th night. According to medical reports, the cause of death was a massive heart attack.”

Narsi founded the Indian Professionals Network (IPN) in 1993 and was president of Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (GIACC) in 2008 and its chairman in 2009.

He was a member of the Board/Leadership Team, Kettering Executive Network, Inc. (KEN)

A former academician, Narsi was Professor of Management Science / Management Information Systems at Georgia Institute of Technology from the late 80s to the early 90s.

Narsi was part of the NRI Pulse team for several years, with a column on business called Biz Talk.

He was single, and hails from Tamil Nadu, India.

He will be greatly missed by the Atlanta Indian and business communities.
