In continuation of the earlier email announcing the INVITATION extended to all IT BHU Alumni by the PAN-IIT organization, here is an important announcement for getting yourself a really attractive discount of 33% on the card rate of Rs. 4500/- for the 3 day event. Here are your options for paying the registration fees (pick any one based on your convenience):

1. Come to the TARANG event on the evening of Sunday, Oct 10, 2010 (see earlier announcement on the same) with your cheque. The cheque is to be made out to "Pan IIT Alumni Meet 2010" for Rs. 3000, payable at Delhi. On the reverse of the check, please write your name followed by "IIT BHU" for easier tracking. Please leave the date field on the cheque blank, as there may be a need to pre-date it before submission.

2. Courier or drop your cheque (same instructions for writing the cheque details as given above) to one of the 3 governing council members of AIBA:

The PAN-IIT 2010 is being organized over three days (Oct 29-31) at the Expo Centre, Greater NOIDA, with the theme "SUSTAINABLE TRANSFORMATION - THE NEW INDIA" (http://www.paniit2010.org/index.html). This is known to the biggest gathering of IIT Alumni anywhere in the world, and brings together several leaders, businessmen, technocrats, thinkers and teachers on a common platform of thinking, speaking, listening, networking. In addition, the event if full of nostalgic fun and mauz-masti of those good old days.
With the rechristening of our Alma Mater to IIT-BHU, the PAN-IIT 2010 Organizing Committee has reached out to all the Alumni of IT BHU to register for the event and make it an even a bigger success. After intervention by Association of IT BHU Alumni, they have extended highly discounted rates for registration of IT BHU Alumni as a special case until Oct 15, even though the early bird discount deadlines had passed.

We urge all of you to avail of this fantastic offer, and turn up at the 3 day event in large numbers. The 3 day event covers several lectures, workshops, cultural events and lunches, tea and dinners catered by the ITC Maurya. Please respond to this communication asap with your intention to attend/decline the offer. The registration fees are Rs. 3000 for the alumnus, and Rs. 1500 for spouse. The cheques for the registration fees will have to be submitted to the undersigned by 13th October 2010, which will then be forwarded before the deadline (15th October 2010) by us and forwarded to the PAN-IIT 2010 OC. The cheques should be dran in favour of "Pan IIT Alumni Meet 2010", and should be payable at Delhi.

There is a Warm-Up event (TARANG) being organized at NOIDA on Sunday, Oct 10, 2010, which is free for all IIT alumni, including us, irrespective of whether one is registering for the PAN-IIT event or not. We strongly urge all of you to come to this event with your cheque book or cash, so that those of you who then decide to register for the PAN-IIT event can do so on the spot and avail of the offer then and there. If our numbers are over 50 alumni members, we may be able to negotiate for an even better discount! The details of the Warm-Up event are given below. See you all there!
