As the alumni association grows it is imperative that we build the structures that will help us scale the functioning of the organization. Chapters play an important role in this effort.
We currently have 10+ chapters around the world.
Each chapter has its office bearers who work together to network the alumni in that region. A couple of volunteers from each chapter join the global chapter coordinators group and this group then shares the news and discusses issues related their groups. The Chapter Coordinators play an important role in disseminating global news at the local level and help the global organization to coordinate multiple activities, like fundraising etc., amongst the chapters.
We would request alumni in places that don't have a chapter to come forward and take the initiative of starting a chapter. Read more about chapter creation at Creating Chapters ..
